News of two diocesan Follow! evenings to inspire and equip parishioners, PCCs, parish officers and lay and ordained ministers across the diocese – in other words, OPEN TO ALL! These will be open evenings of displays, resources, short pop-up workshops running between 6.30pm and 9.30pm. In the middle of each evening our Bishops will also share briefly what has been happening since the Follow! events last autumn and introducing the wide range of support and resources to help all parishes “Proclaim Christ and grow disciples” today. Mike Bradbury, the Chairman of the Burwarton Show announced that the award recognises the tremendous contribution made by ‘All Stewards of the Burwarton and District Agricultural Society’ for ‘providing a social, economic environmental service to the local community’.
The award was created in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and is the MBE for volunteer groups.
The Lord Lieutenant of Shropshire will present the award to the society on the stewards evening prior to this year’s show.
Congratulations from all Brown Clee Churches on winning this prestigious award.

Caring for God’s Acre, the charity that promotes the conservation of burial sites is supporting the Thomas Gray 2016 project in celebrating the tercentenary of the birth of poet Thomas Gray, who wrote the world-famous “Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard”. This year’s competition takes its theme from the poem:
“Full many a flower is born to blush unseen”.
